Roots of Fatima is present at Expocatólica 2025, on a journey marked by spirituality, meetings and sharing. The project’s founder, Eliana Oliveira, was in Brazil between June and July 2025 for a series of events that deeply touched the hearts of the participants. The highlight of this journey was the official launch of the free eBook “The Apparitions of the Angel of Peace: Fatima 1916”, presented during Expocatólica in São Paulo.
Lectures and meetings that marked hearts
During her stay in Brazil, Eliana also gave talks in person, bringing the spiritual richness of the prayers and experience of the Little Shepherds. The meetings took place in Sumaré, Santos and São Paulo, including presentations at Expocatólica on religious tourism and the spirituality of Fatima.
The topics covered the prayers taught by the Angel of Peace and Our Lady, the value of reparation, sacrifice and surrender to God – pillars of the Fatima message.

In a live interview, Eliana spoke about her origins, as a third cousin of Saints Francisco and Jacinta Marto, and explained how the inner call she received at Fatima transformed her life and led her to dedicate herself completely to evangelization through the Raízes de Fátima project. Her visit to the city of Santos was featured in the newspaper, also revealing the spiritual and historical connection between Portugal and Brazil. It was echoed in an article on G1.
These participations reinforced the importance of the message of peace, prayer and reparation brought by Our Lady of Fatima, showing how even today she is able to touch, transform and guide lives in different parts of the world.

Expocatólica is the Church’s largest business and evangelization event in Latin America, bringing together publishers, religious institutions, communities, content producers and the faithful from all over the country. Participating in this fair represents a unique opportunity to dialogue with the Catholic public, to strengthen the evangelizing mission and to present initiatives such as Raízes de Fátima in an atmosphere of communion and faith.
Presenting the new eBook “The Apparitions of the Angel of Peace” at Expocatólica 2025 was a very significant moment for the Roots of Fatima project. As well as reaching an audience interested in spirituality and Catholic formation, it was also an opportunity to meet again with partner tourism agencies who, year after year, trust in Raízes’ work to lead pilgrims to Fatima. These reunions strengthened bonds and opened the way for new collaborations, broadening the reach of the Message of Fatima through religious tourism.
The apparitions of the Angel: a little-known treasure
Many people are still unaware that, before Our Lady’s apparitions in 1917, the three little shepherds of Fatima – Lucia, Francisco and Jacinta – received visits from the Angel of Peace in 1916. These were three remarkable apparitions which spiritually prepared the child seers to accept the mission entrusted to them by Mary. During these visits, the Angel taught prayers, spoke about penance and introduced the little ones to a profound experience of faith and reparation. Recovering and disseminating these apparitions is an essential part of the work of Roots of Fatima, because in them lies the silent but very strong basis of the Message of Fatima.
